Woman killed when semi runs over stopped car in Crown Point

CROWN POINT, Ind. -- A woman is dead after a semi drove over the top of her car Friday night on the interstate.

Jacqueline Brown, 53, from Chicago was sitting in the passenger seat the car when it had a flat tire. The driver pulled over on the shoulder of I-65 near the Crown Point exit.

She was trying to call for help when a semi ran over the top of the car, killing Brown.

The driver of the Hyundai and a passenger in the back seat were injured.

The semi driver, 26-year-old David Lee, has not been ticketed.

Investigators are still trying to figure out what caused the crash.
