MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- A woman who once thought she would be paralyzed accomplished a major feat Saturday: she completed a 3K race.
Tiffany Brantley was seriously injured in May when a drunk driver ran into her while she was out for her morning jog.
At first, doctors thought she might be paralyzed. But she was just released from the hospital Tuesday, and she's not letting anything slow her down.
She finished a 3K in Mishawaka alongside people who believe she can do anything.
“I rode the walk, but it was great. I’ve done it before many times but it was nice just to see the posters up and the arrows - just to know it's because of me that everyone is out here. It's great," Brantley said. "I couldn't ask for more. This is more than enough. This is tremendous. I'm just lost for words.”
She says one day she will be able to walk and run again, in events like these.
The event was held as a benefit for her. The money will go toward her medical bills.
