Elkhart County, Ind. Thanks to GPS tracking on her cell phone, a woman was found, hours after she crashed her vehicle.
It happened on John Weaver Parkway in Elkhart County.
State police tell NewsCenter 16 that a woman had been reported missing by her husband around noon Thursday. She was located using her cell phone signal at about 1 a.m. Friday. They believe she was stuck in her car for 10-12 hours.
Police say the vehicle was buried under so much vegetation that you wouldn't have been able to see it from the road.
The woman was alert and conscious when they found her and she was taken to the hospital to be treated. Her name and condition have not been released.
