WINAMAC, Ind. A Winamac police officer saved the life of a woman after she was found unconscious inside her car, which was on fire.

According to our reporting partners at WKVI, officer Mark Hoffman saw the vehicle ablaze near County Road 50 East and U.S. 35 in Pulaski County.

He pulled over, and tried to pull Tracy Redelman, 47, to safety through the passenger side door.

Police say Redelman's life was saved because of the quick-thinking of Hoffman.
