Wilcox court date pushed back

South Bend, Ind. A man accused of setting his foreclosed home on fire, had his court hearing cancelled Monday.

62-year-old Douglas Wilcox is charged with arson, in connection with a house fire in the 21000 block of Sandybrook Drive on August 12.

Wilcox was supposed to give the keys to the new owner the day the house burned down. He was originally reported as a missing person, before police eventually found him at a casino in Battle Creek.

Monday morning, a judge excused Wilcox from appearing in court, citing the fact that there was no plea agreement to go over.

Another hearing was scheduled for January 2, with a trial set for January.
