Government filings show a massive pay increase for a top Whirlpool executive.
WSJM reports that chairman and CEO Jeff Fettig earned $15.9 million in 2012, up from $12.3 million in 2011. That's a 29 percent increase in one year.
That salary reflects Fettig’s total compensation package. His base salary stands at $1.37 million. That went up $10,000 from the previous year.
Most of the pay increase came from various bonuses, stock awards, and an increase in the value of Fettig's pension.
Whirlpool is based in Benton Harbor.
