MISHAWAKA, Ind. - Welcome Home Vietnam Veteran's Day is now being recognized by the whole state of Indiana.
Mishawaka was the first city in Indiana to recognize this day, two years ago.
On Monday, more than 50 Vietnam Veterans filled the city hall to celebrate.
Mishawaka Mayor Dave Wood, Congresswoman Jackie Walorski and a representative from Senator Joe Donnelly's office attended the event.
Ultimately, the day is a way for folks to give veterans the welcome they never got when they came home from war.
Mayor Wood says the celebration continues to grow every year.
