BENTON HARBOR, Mich. The inclement weather forced Benton Harbor’s city commission to postpone a key vote on an emergency loan.
The city commission was supposed to meet Monday night to decide on the $2.3 million measure.
The loan, which would consolidate all existing debt, would be repaid over 15 years. Benton Harbor's mayor announced in a press release Monday that he supports the plan.
According to our reporting partners at the herald palladium, the vote is now scheduled for Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Meanwhile, Benton Harbor's snow emergency dictates that vehicles should not be parked on any city streets, or risk being towed.
