Weather certainly didn't hold back Notre Dame fans from tailgating or enjoying the game Saturday afternoon. Fans said they weren't willing to risk missing their team go 6-0 over a little rain.
There may have been more tents than usual in the lots, and of course that heavy rain gear, ponchos and rain paints, but Irish fans did what it took to tough it out for the game.
Newscenter 16 talked with fans from all over, including Kentucky, Chicago, Indianapolis and even Ireland. They all said the same thing, the rain may be inconvenient, but it wasn't going to stop them from having a good time.
Sean Joyce, from Naperville, IL, says, "I'm kind of enjoying it, this is good football weather. I'm excited for it. We just got here, we're excited for the game."
Greg Semmer from Chicago says he's a die hard Irish fan and wouldn't miss the game for any weather. "It's awesome, it's warm, it brings people together. It's a tailgate, brings people close to each other. Rain or shine, that's what we got to do. That's what you got to do. Go Irish!"
The Irish win today brings Notre Dame's record to 6-0.
