Warsaw Police arrested three people after a bar fight in Warsaw on Saturday.

The fight happened around 1:30 AM at Susie's Sand Bar on Center Street in Warsaw. Warsaw police and the Kosciusko County Sheriff's department responded to the call, and on the scene located two injuried parties.

Owner, Susan Helms, 51, of Warsaw, had head, neck, and upper chest injuries including cuts, an indentation to her forehead, and visible bruising. Those injuries came after she attempted to break up a fight. She was grabbed by the throat and thrown down, striking her head on the corner of a pool table.

A second female, Jamie Hizer, 41, of Warsaw was injured after attempting to calm the fight. She felt pain to her head after she was grabbed by the hair and shoved into a wall.

Police determined that Shane F. Dawson, 30, of Warsaw was responsible for grabbing and throwing Helms down, causing her to strike her head on the pool table. Police say Latasha L. Roush, 22, of Warsaw was responsible for throwing Hizer into the wall. Both Helms and Hizer were treated at the scene by EMS.

Shane Dawson was transported to the Kosciusko County Jail and charged with battery resulting a serious bodily injury, a class C felony. Latasha Roush was also transported to the Kosciusko County Jail and charged with class B misdemeanor battery.

At the scene, Warsaw Police also located Michael P. Eldridge, 21, of Warsaw, who had two active warrants from Kosciusko County for battery resulting in bodily injury.
