Monday is the final day of work for a longtime St. Joseph city manager.
After 17 years, Frank Walsh will move to Jackson, Michigan to care for his parents and become the Meridian Township manager.
WSJM reports that he'll enjoy a pension of $80,000 per year.
“It has been a great 17 years,” said City Manager Frank Walsh. “I have enjoyed every minute but there comes a time where I want to go help take care of my parents so I have accepted a position at Meridian Twp. leading that community which is 40,000 next to East Lansing.”
Three finalists to take his place will be interviewed this Saturday. John Hodgson takes over as interim city manager Tuesday.
