Walorski distances herself from Mourdock
Presidential candidate Mitt Romney and other Republicans have distanced themselves from Mourdock's stance, including Congressional Candidate Jackie Walorski.
She issued this statement this morning:
"I strongly disagree with Mr. Mourdock’s statements during last night’s Senate debate and would urge him to apologize. I have been clear on my views, I am pro-life with the exceptions of incest, rape, and life of the mother."
Then later this afternoon Walorski's campaign issued a different statement claiming the first one was "inadvertently" sent out without the candidate's approval.
“I believe Richard Mourdock’s apology was both necessary and appropriate. My opponent is using this issue to try and distract voters from his support for Obamacare, more spending, and the liberal Pelosi-Obama agenda. I am focused on cutting spending, balancing the budget, repealing Obamacare, and getting our economy working again.”
