Republican 2nd District Congressional candidate Jackie Walorski’s Day started at sunrise, when she and her mom cast their ballots at the Solid Rock Church of God on County County Road 3 in Elkhart.
Afterward, she held a press conference and set out to greet voters at local polling places.
This is Walorski’s second run at the congressional seat after a photo-finish loss to Joe Donnaly in 2010.
Since Waloski announced on NewsCenter 16 in March 2011 with Tricia Sloma, she has touted her success in Indiana State House and her desire to take same leadership to Washington.
“Our message is clear and contestant,” she said. What we did in in state house, we can do in congress as well. Our message has resonated with people. People want good jobs and they understand that this nation can’t move forward in gridlock.”
Walorski is scheduled to arrive at the Northern Indiana Event Center also known as the "RV Hall of Fame", between 6 and 6:30 p.m.
