NILES, Mich. - A replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington is now on display in Niles.
Hundreds of people are coming out to witness the unfathomable 58,289 names of Americans killed in Vietnam.
Some kneel in prayer, others are taking pictures and some are using paper to etch the name of their loved ones as a keepsake.
John Sly served in Desert Storm with some Vietnam Veterans and for those too young to remember, he describes the anti-war sentiment and why bringing this wall to Niles is so important.
The traveling Vietnam Veterans Memorial will be on display at Niles High School until Sunday at 3 p.m.
It is free to attend.
