Although we're in the middle of winter, it's not too early to start thinking about camping.

The 37th annual Valley RV and Camping Show is taking place at the Century Center in South Bend this weekend. It'll feature more than 70 recreational vehicles, from pop-up campers to diesel-pusher motor homes.

No matter your budget, there are campers and RVs to fit your family's needs. Units range from $6,000 to more than $150,000.

A recent University of Michigan study shows the RV industry is predicted to make a four percent increase in 2011, a rebound industry professionals saw throughout much of 2010.

Customer Jack Ferrer says, "It's a cold day outside, and it's a good day to be in here shopping. We are in the market looking for an RV and that's what we are looking for today."

Dealerships say now is the time to buy and buying new can often be cheaper than used.

“The interest rates right now are so low out there, trying to get the economy spurred back together, you can buy a new one for the same payment you may have on a used one," says Rob Reid, President of Great Lakes RV Center. "The banks don't give you as good interest rates on a used one, as opposed to a new one.”

The Valley RV and Camping Show runs from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 5:00 p.m. Sunday.

Prices are $4 for those 16 and over.
