It tests your mind and body; the 5th annual Urban Adventures is coming to South Bend next week, exercising the brain and the body.
The event will start at the College Football Hall of Fame building in downtown South Bend next Saturday, July 27. Teams of two compete by navigating a secret map that takes them to checkpoints in South Bend and Mishawaka, where they complete tasks that challenge the mind and the body. Those challenges include zip lining, paddle boarding, swimming and biking, among other things.
The event is separated into four divisions so people of any skill level can compete.
“It is exercise, so you’re getting out there and being active,” Urban Adventure spokesman Andy Fuller says. “You don’t have to be the Iron Man to participate.”
In its five years, Urban Adventure has grown from 80 teams to more than 500 and folks can still sign up online at UrbanAdventureGames.com or at the former College Football Hall of Fame the night before the race.
