Registration open for Urban Adventure Games

South Bend, Ind. The course for the fifth annual Urban Adventure Games is set, and teams wishing to participate in the July 27 event have until the 26th to register.

The event will start at the College Football Hall of Fame building in downtown South Bend. Teams of two compete by navigating a secret map that takes them to checkpoints in South Bend and Mishawaka, where they complete tasks that challenge the mind and the body.

Last year, racers enjoyed everything from shooting a hockey puck at Notre Dame’s Compton Family Ice Arena, to rafting in the East Race.

“This is a great opportunity to have a blast, and learn a few things about the community at the same time,” said race director Lynn Kachmarik. “We’ve made the race bigger and better each year, and there really is something for everyone here.”

Nearly 400 teams total in three race divisions have already registered, and organizers say an influx of registrations usually occurs in the last three weeks before the race.

Racers can register at through July 26.
