Fred Upton has held onto his 6th-District seat for a 14th term in Michigan Tuesday night.
Upton sought to keep his seat as U.S. Representative in a battle against Democrat Mike O'Brien.
"The bottom line is that we have to work together," Upton explained Tuesday. "Our district cares not whether you have a 'R' or a 'D' next to your name for Republican or democrat, it wants the job done. That's what we gotta do. We gotta work together."
Upton gave equivalent of victory speech at 10:45 p.m. in which he thanked constituents for voting him in for another term.
There was loud celebration and niece Kate Upton stopped by to show her support for her uncle.
