A deadly Elkhart County fire investigation continues from this past weekend as there are very few leads for police.
The New Paris Township Fire Department, Elkhart County Sheriff's Department, and State Fire Marshal were called to the mobile home.
Around 8:30pm on Friday a large fire started. 40-year-old Dewey Thomas Smith Jr.’s body was found inside the home.
On Tuesday, the State Fire Marshal's office ruled the cause as "undetermined" due to the severity of the damage.
Meanwhile, the Elkhart County Coroner says preliminary autopsy results show Smith died of heavy smoke inhalation.
