A second medic has died from injuries after a car slammed into an ambulance in Indianapolis this weekend.
22-year-old paramedic Cody Medley died early Sunday morning from severe injuries sustained in the crash. A car slammed into the ambulance, knocking the rig on its side Saturday morning.
The other medic, 24-year-old Tim McCormick, who was driving, died at the scene.
The driver of the car, a 21-year-old female, was taken to the hospital for a blood test. An officer on the scene said he detected the smell of alcohol on her breath. She was released from the hospital pending results from the blood alcohol content test.
