Two people are dead after a three-car crash in Marshall County Tuesday morning. It happened on Michigan Road near the intersection with 5-A, near Plymouth.

Police say a car was heading south bound and crossed the center line for an unknown reason. That car got hit by a northbound truck.

Two people inside the car have died. A third passenger got out of the car shortly after the accident was standing in the roadway. The cars headlights had been knocked out and there is no lighting along that stretch of road. A third vehicle, an oncoming truck, didn't see the accident and ran into the man in the road. The man hit and two truck drivers involved are reportedly in the hospital with serious injuries.

Marshall County authorities have confirmed all five people involved in the accident are male, and at least three are from the area. Identities for the deceased and the injured have not been confirmed.

The road remains closed as crews clean up the debris.
