The darkened downtown was the perfect setting for two peregrine falcon eggs to hatch in South Bend.

The falcons, with a perch atop the County-City Building, have been the focus of a live webcam for a couple years now.

The first egg was spotted around the second week of April.

We hope to have more details about the birds' health as they continue to grow.
