Lead pipe and candlestick used in Elkhart neighborhood brawl

Weapons synonymous with the board game Clue were used during an odd Elkhart neighborhood brawl.

The real life mystery broke-out at the corner of W. Franklin and Krau Streets, near Elkhart General Hospital, around 10:45 a.m. Tuesday.

Police say two teenage girls had a disagreement Monday. On Tuesday, one of the girls and her family went to sort things out, when a fight ensued in the second household's front yard.

By the time cops pulled-up, lead pipes, scissors and a candlestick were being used in the all-out tussle. Remarkably only one person was injured with minor cuts and scrapes. An ambulance was called to the scene, but the individual did not need to be taken to the hospital.

Not five minutes after Elkhart officers cleared the scene, the families were seen yelling and pointing fingers at each other once again. Officers returned and separated the masses for good.

A battery report was filed, but police made no arrests because every story contradicted the other.
