Nearly 300 new jobs are expected in Elkhart County by 2020.
Two companies, Fortress Technologies and Vista Manufacturing received preliminary approval for tax phase-ins from the county council over the weekend, according to reporting partners at the Elkhart Truth.
Both companies say they will stay in Elkhart County for the next 11 years if they get final approval.
The council is scheduled to make a final decision on December 8.
Most of the 281 jobs will come to Fortress Technologies, a startup RV frame manufacturing company.
