Tuition is going up this fall at Southwestern Michigan College.
The Herald Palladium reports that the board approved a 5 percent increase for next school year.
They say the hike will help offset a 63 percent increase in costs of a state-run retirement plan.
Even with the increase, SMC tuition is among the lowest rates in Michigan.
