Hefty fines are in store for a Chicago trucking company after one of its tankers exploded along I-94 in Chikaming Twp, according to Harbor Country News.

The explosion, caught on police dash cam video, sent hundreds of gallons of hazardous waste into Sawyer Creek, killing fish and temporarily shutting down the beach at Warren Dunes State Park.

This week the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality issued a $100,000 fine against Clean Harbors Recycling Services of Chicago.

That money will help offset cleanup and first responder costs.
