Truck driver jumps out to avoid train collision

MENTONE A semi driver who got stuck in the path of an oncoming train amazingly wasn’t injured.

The crash happened just before 7 Monday morning at the railroad crossing on Etna Street in Mentone.

According to Stacey Page Online, 51-year-old David Booth jumped out of the truck before the collision.

The area was closed for several hours as crews cleaned up the scene.
