Elkhart, Ind. A man charged with felony murder for his role in a double shooting at an Elkhart market last month is scheduled to go to trial December 9.
23-year-old Richard Gross appeared for his initial hearing Thursday morning in Elkhart county Circuit Court.
Gross waived his right to a speedy trial after his attorney asked for more time to prepare.
Gross and a second man, Kevin Moore, were arrested following a double homicide at Saleh's Market on Middlebury Street on September 5.
55-year-old Jagtar Bhatti, and 20-year-old Pawan Signh were found dead at the scene.
An employee of the store told NewsCenter 16 he heard what sounded like loud bangs from the store's kitchen, when he went to the front both men were shot and unconscious.
