SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The trial was pushed back for a South Bend man who allegedly led police on a dangerous chase last month.

Clester Burt, 34, the third is facing four charges, including two felonies.

He was originally scheduled to go on trial July 14.

The chase started when an officer tried to pull a Cadillac over for false plates on the evening of February 24.

Police say Burt sped off, hitting five parked cars, one moving car and a pedestrian.

Thursday in court, a judge granted a request from Burt's lawyers to move the trial to August 11.
