Trial dates set for woman charged in SB motel death

Trial dates have been set for a woman accused of manslaughter.

Teri Rigley, 42, is charged in the death of Edward Pierce.

Prosecutors say she killed pierce with some type of cutting instrument.
Pierce had been staying at the Shirley Motel in South Bend for the past five years.

Employees were concerned when they did not see him for a few days, so they called police.

Officers found Pierce dead on the floor of his room with blood all around him.

Rigley is scheduled to be back in court Oct. 30.

Her trial is set to begin Nov. 17.
