Quentin Burnley, 23, appeared before Judge Marnocha Tuesday morning, and his record and trial date have been set.

His record date will be September 8, and he will go to trial on September 24.

Burnley was charged on May 30 with causing serious bodily injury while operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, a class D felony, for striking Tiffany Brantley with his car.

Probable cause had been found and bond was set at $20,000. Burnley previously posted bond and is no longer in the custody of the St. Joseph County Jail.

On May 29, Brantley, 30, was jogging on the north side of Jefferson Boulevard near Charlotte Street around 6:50 a.m., when a car traveling eastbound crossed the center line and struck her.

The 23-year-old driver of the car that allegedly struck Brantley was identified as Quentin Burnley.
