The trial has started for a New Buffalo City Clerk charged with embezzling $92,000.
That's according to our reporting partners at the Herald Palladium.
Sandra White, 51, was formally charged in April after a six month investigation. According to police, White stole that money while also accepting raises from the city. Some of White's co-workers testified Wednesday, including Former City Manager Michael Mitchell.
If convicted, White faces up to 15 years in prison.
