Trees fall on homes near Mishawaka Ave. in South Bend

South Bend, Ind. Downed trees and power lines are the reason thousands are without power and will likely be for hours, possibly even days, to come; not to mention those fierce winds led to quite a bit of debris in the roadway, making Tuesday morning’s commute difficult for some.

Trees fell down on two houses right near each other on 27th and 28th streets near Mishawaka Avenue. Those same trees crashed into power lines as well.

We also saw street signs and a tree fell on Notre Dame Avenue, blocking the road. Crews were out there early Tuesday morning to get to work on cleanup.

Tornado sirens kept more than 150 people inside during what was supposed to be an exciting midnight unveiling of the brand new sideline gear by Under Armour.

They still held the event, plenty of anxious customers picked up brand new team favorites from the book store. We have a link to the new products on the Big Red Bar.
