Traffic stop ends in police chase near Notre Dame campus

South Bend, Ind. A man who led police on a lengthy chase Wednesday morning was eventually captured on foot, east of the Notre Dame campus.

Bryan Morrow, 26, of South Bend was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, along with resisting law enforcement.

It all started around 10:30 a.m. near the Kroc Center with an attempted traffic stop.

It ended four miles away--east of the Notre Dame campus--where police found this white van parked in a grassy lot.

Morrow was eventually captured trying to flee the scene on foot.

“South Bend officers were attempting a traffic stop near Laurel and Western, gone on for quite a while, and we really weren't sure why this individual was fleeing like he was,” explained Capt. Phil Trent.

Police say the white van also had false registration.
