Thursday was move in day for freshman at Saint Mary's College

South Bend, Ind. It is move in day at Saint Mary's College and even before class commences the school is making a strong statement.

The first- year class will be the largest class on campus, with 440 women, and it'll be the most diverse in the history of Saint Mary's College.

For the first time, the college is offering the, "four-year graduation promise."

Students who follow the guidelines are guaranteed to graduate in four years or the college will pay for any additional courses a student needs toward their degree. No other college or university in the area offers such a promise.

"I cried on my first visit,” said freshman Katlynn Kennedy. “I knew, literally upon stepping on campus. And I'm an engineering major. So once I hear about the dual degree with Notre Dame and just he atmosphere and the history, the close connection with the other two schools, it's unreal.”

By September 10 the college should have a full enrollment count.
