Three fire department employees who were suspended for mishandling drugs are back on the job.

Don Mansell, Bill Creedon and Jon Simmons were all suspended from the Concord Township Fire Department without pay in April, after a Goshen Hospital employee reported that narcotics vials in their care might have been tampered with.

According to reporting partners at The Elkhart Truth, the drugs are stored in boxes that are sealed with a special sticker.

That sticker should only be removed for restocking, or if workers need to use the drugs on patients.

After an investigation, the department says there is no evidence the three employees took the drugs, so the employees have been back at work since the middle of the month.
