Three injured when car crashes into pole in Elkhart Co.

Elkhart County Three people were injured when a car left the road and hit a utility pole Monday morning in Elkhart County.

The car was traveling north along County Road 29, just after 1:30 a.m. when it happened. The driver, Corey Stump, 31, of Goshen, suffered serious head trauma, and was airlifted to a hospital in Forte Wayne. His two passengers were taken to the hospital as well, with shoulder and arm pain, but no life-threatening injuries.

No citations were issued, and the Sheriff's department is still investigating.
