Thousands of jobs are coming to Michigan, reinforcing the image of what Governor Rick Snyder calls "the comeback state."
14 companies plan to invest $1.5 billion and add just under 4590 jobs.
180 of those are in Michiana. Incentives have been approved for Whirlpool to centralize its North American operations in Benton Harbor and St. Joseph.
The Michigan Economic Development Council attributes these new jobs to changes in infrastructure, and grant and loan programs that help communities attract big business.
