ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. - An auction has raised thousands of dollars for local non-profit groups, and it is all thanks to a $150 million gift.
Twenty-seven items from businessman David Gundlach's personal collection were auctioned off Thursday night at the Lerner Theater.
Around $220,000 was raised for local non-profit groups.
Gundlach died in October 2011, but left his fortune to the Elkhart County Community Foundation.
The winning bidders will work with the foundation to direct the auction's proceeds to local charities of their choice.
