Thousands attend B100 birthday party

South Bend, Ind. A birthday party brought thousands of guests to the St. Joe County 4-H Fairgrounds on Sunday.

B100's 19th birthday brought in some special folks to celebrate.

Acts like Tyler Farr and Travis Tritt took to the stage as fans sang along.

The crowds backed up traffic on the bypass.

Country music enthusiasts said they didn't mind the wait as long as they got to see their favorite acts.

“It’s really cool sometimes we don't get a chance to go out and see everybody so it’s nice that they come here once in a while,” said Gordon Wilson from Niles.

Rose Wilds from Buchanan was excited about the event.

“You don’t see it that often. It’s awesome to have somebody so close, somebody so popular, come so close to us,” she said.

State excise police arrested 61 people at the event. Most of them were charged with alcohol, drug or tobacco offenses.
