The State uses Rocky Horror to revive historic space

A well known and iconic downtown South Bend building is using a series of community events to revitalize the historic venue.

The State Theatre reopened in March of 2013, and since then, has hosted over a dozen events. Using volunteer support, staff at The State are organizing a variety of shows to appeal to a broad section of the city. In addition, volunteers are allowing the community to determine the lineup.

After an overwhelming number of suggestions on Facebook, The State agreed to offer, once again, the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

On Tuesday, the community is invited to take part in an information session about the upcoming production. Interested participants should attend the meeting from 7-9p.m. at the theatre.
