It was a terrific Turkey Day in Michiana with many people out and about enjoying the weather before their Thanksgiving meal.
At Juday Creek Golf Course in St Joseph County golfers were taking advantage of the warm weather Thursday morning. About half a dozen golf courses in the area were open with the unseasonably warm weather bringing out golfers on this holiday.
Golfer Seth Frank says, “We do it every year and the last few years it has been perfect so we get to come out and get it in.”
At Nick's Patio they are expecting a big dinner crowd for those that don't want to spent time in the kitchen and fix a big turkey dinner.
“They need a place to come and a lot of places don't stay open, especially later in the evening,” says Nick’s Patio manager, Jeff Samoilis. “So we like to cater to those types of families, that like to come in and have dinner and have something to eat.”
Meijer was also busy Thursday morning with several shoppers picking up last minutes items.
The store says grocery sales are typically strong in the morning.
