A teenage boy was flown to the hospital Wednesday night, after he wrecked his moped in Marshall County.

It happened around 6:15 p.m. along Quince Road, near West 2B Road. That's one block south of U.S. 6 in La Paz.

Although authorities haven't released many details, according to initial reports, a car crashed into a 16-year-old, who was riding his moped.

The moped was sent into a nearby field, and broken glass and tire tracks were visible around the scene.

The teen, who reportedly wasn't wearing a helmet, was airlifted to the hospital to be treated for head lacerations and other cuts to his body. No word yet on his condition, or the cause of the crash.
