Teen pleads guilty to 'T-rex' Mullens stabbing

A Michigan teenager accused of stabbing an Elkhart man to death pleaded guilty Thursday in court, according to reporting partners at the Elkhart Truth.

Brandon Johnston, 18 of Three Rivers is charged with murdering James Grant, who was also known as Tyrannosaurus Rex Mullens.

The 69-year-old was found dead in his home in the 1700 block of Morton Avenue back on August 4th. An autopsy revealed that grant had died of multiple sharp force injuries to his chest, head and neck.

Johnston agreed to serve no more than 55 years in prison. He is scheduled to be sentenced on January 17.
