Taxi driver fell asleep before hitting building

ELKHART A taxi cab driver who crashed into an Elkhart building says he fell asleep at the wheel.

Jeffrey Greenwood was taken to the hospital and treated for pain after his cab slammed into the Morris Auto Service building Sunday morning. The building is located on S Elkhart Avenue.

He had no passengers at the time, according to The Elkhart Truth. The auto shop sustained some damage. The wall had to be boarded up, and one of their lifts was broken. However they are open for business and serving customers as usual.
