A Syracuse man has died from his injuries after a bad accident earlier this week. It happened early Sunday morning, just before 3 a.m., near Tippecanoe Lake.
Investigators believe 20-year-old Corey Kneller was heading west on County Road 800 North, but instead of going around the curve onto County Road 400 East, he continued driving straight. His Pontiac Grand Am slammed into a tree, and later caught fire.
Kneller was driven to an area emergency room with internal and head injuries, and was later flown to a Fort Wayne Hospital, but he never recovered. Kneller died Thursday, four days after the accident occurred.
Investigators say alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, but they're waiting for test results before making a final determination.
