Synagogue dedication at Four Winds Field planned for Friday

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - A historic site at Four Winds Field will officially be dedicated this week.

A commemorative plaque will be unveiled, recognizing the Sons of Israel Synagogue as the oldest synagogue in the region.

The building is 113 years old, and was saved from demolition several times. It was renovated to become the Silver Hawks team store inside Four Winds Field.

Representatives from Indiana landmarks and the Center for History will join Jewish community leaders for the ceremony at 6:30p.m. before Friday's game
