It is almost time to hit the slopes at Swiss Valley in Michigan.

Swiss Valley started making snow for the 2010-2011 season Saturday.

It has been such a warm fall that they have only now been able to begin.

The hope is to create enough snow to cover all the ski runs by their target open date Friday and they are doing that with the help of a machine that can make up to 1,800 gallons of snow a minute.

Once the snow covers the slopes there will be plenty to do this year including a ski with Santa coming up later this December.
