STARKE COUNTY Starke County Police are warning residents to be on alert for a suspicious salesman.

They say people have been going door-to-door, claiming to be working for the Kirby vacuum company.

Police started investigating following complaints from residents, and they found that the salesman do not have licenses to sell.

They've been asked to leave the area.

If you ever have a question about a salesman, police say to ask to see their peddler's permit, check for official logos on their vehicle and always call police if you're suspicious.
