'Suspicious' men try to lure La Porte girl into truck

A 12-year-old girl told La Porte Police that at around 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 29, she'd arrived at her grandmother's house from school and went to take her dog for a walk.

As the girl was walking on Bosserman St., near the intersection of Oberreich St., she observed an older red truck, with a black bed cap, pull up with two men in it. The passenger of the truck told the girl he knew her mother and told her she should get in the truck with them. The girl told the man she did not know him, but he continued to urge her to get in the truck. The girl refused and walked back to her grandmother's house. She saw the truck leave the area.

Suspect vehicle: red, older model, pick-up truck - has black bed cap

Suspect passenger: older, white male, gray & brown curly hair & beard.
